MPD Ventures was engaged by Vonlane, a Dallas-based motor coach service provider, to create a public relations strategy for its business launch in 2014. The goal was to secure media coverage in the company’s two primary markets–Dallas and Austin–and to generate buzz among consumers. The campaign was a success, generating significant broadcast and print coverage, with MPD’s work on the launch garnering a Clarion Award. As Vonlane has expanded to include service in every major Texas city and received a host of awards for business growth and leadership, MPD has continued to provide strategic public relations support.
APQC, a member-based non-profit organization, counts as MPD’s initial client—and we’re honored to say remains a client to this day. Constantly seeking to increase awareness of its best practice research and services, APQC has turned to MPD for publicity and numerous special projects. Spanning almost two decades, MPD has tackled many efforts including: virtual Marketing Director; website redesign; book productions; nurture strategies; customer satisfaction surveys; case studies and testimonials; graphic design; strategy and more. The heart of MPD’s current work is publicity-based, having served as APQC’s agency of record for PR since 2001. MPD maintains relationships with national, industry and functional media to secure media partnerships, bylines and interviews with an average of 20+ media appearances monthly.
Owned and operated by the City of Terrell, Terrell Municipal Airport plays host to two major annual public events and is a hub of community activity. MPD has served as the airport’s go-to marketing arm for several years, providing a variety of support ranging from event management and promotion to creation of a campaign to mark the airport’s 75th anniversary. Among other initiatives, MPD helped the airport launch and manage a social media program, and later trained a city staffer to take over the reins.
A leader in emergency medical billing, EMERGICON had countless client success stories to tell, but needed a compelling way to get the word out. EMERGICON engaged MPD to produce video testimonials highlighting the company’s approach to service and its remarkable results. MPD handled the video planning and production from start to finish, including interview preparation and approvals with EMERGICON’s clients and guidance on the best ways to leverage the content for maximum social media and search engine impact.
Energy consulting firm Power Brokers first turned to MPD for website maintenance assistance, but the company’s most pressing need came later when Power Brokers had a huge partnership opportunity requiring a near-impossible deadline. To roll out a new energy procurement program with the Texas Restaurant Association (TRA), the firm put its faith in MPD to develop a program name, logo, marketing materials, trade show display and giveaways in time for a key TRA trade show. The timeline was extremely aggressive, but with laser-focused execution and project management, MPD Ventures was able to help Power Brokers make a crowd-pleasing debut that exceeded expectations.
Dallas-based civil engineering firm Hayden Consultants sought to grow its business by educating potential clients and promoting its growth in local media. MPD helped the firm capture the key messages that define the company, then translated them into an improved website, multiple email and PR campaigns and a consistent brand identity that highlighted the firm’s strengths. MPD continued to provide Hayden with periodic PR, marketing and web support for a decade. In 2018, when the firm completed a successful merger with a large national company, MPD helped create a custom video to showcase this major milestone in Hayden’s growth.
When venerable public finance law firm McCall, Parkhurst & Horton (McCall) sought to update its corporate identity, MPD created a crisp new logo and stationery package along with a website that showcases the firm’s history and present-day industry leadership. MPD is currently working with McCall on a variety of branding and event projects to commemorate the firm’s 100th anniversary.
Beck Technology turned to MPD to support its then one-person “marketing unicorn” tasked with promoting the firm’s innovative technology solutions for construction estimating. The effort centered on developing client testimonials, case studies, video production and publicity to help the firm share its thought leadership. MPD provided on-demand, overflow support for tactical social media, newsletters and sales campaigns, serving as an extra pair of hands as Beck Technology built a larger marketing team to handle in-house.
myRxMedSaver is a prescription discount provider that battles for market share against large national competitors with massive TV and radio advertising budgets. To help the company prop up its brand presence in the eyes of consumers, MPD created a new myRxMedSaver logo and website. In support of a major mobile app launch, MPD provided project management and graphic design along with production of a custom animated video. MPD also handles ongoing brand and direct marketing efforts for myRxMedSaver.
